Amy Brown
Framingham Public Schools Art Teacher K-5
Hemenway Elementary School
I began my career in 2006, and I believe being an Art Educator is the best job in the world! I try to create Art lessons with interdisciplinary connections, while using the National and State Standards.
I received my MAT in 2008, and my BFA in 2005. Since beginning my teaching career, I have been featured in numerous publications such as Scholastic.com, Homeschool.com, IncredibleArt.org, and MetroWest News! I was a recipient of the 2019 Women Making History Now Award from Framingham State University, and I was asked to be the alumni speaker at the 2019 Presidential Inauguration at Montserrat College of Art.
In my class I am always looking for students who are trying their best. I teach my students that their voice is important, and using Art, they can spread their message to the world.
