Chris Hall is a special education art teacher for Boston Public Schools and specializes in adapting arts-based curriculum and modifying his classroom pedagogy to create the environment where all of his students can be successful. He is best known for facilitating the creation of large-scale collaborative mosaics that showcase the talents of his 200 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. His students have been honored by Senator Elizabeth, Mayor Thomas Menino, David Ortiz, the Boston Celtics, Ramiro Torres from 96.9, and they were even featured on the Donnie Loves Jenny Show on the A&E Network. Chris is also a PhD candidate at UMass Boston and his research interests center around students labelled as severely disabled and their educational spaces of displacement.
